Noube Rateau has directed six award-winning documentaries. These documentaries have received first place honors from national film festivals in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Las
Vegas, New York City, Boston, and regional Emmy Award for Best Documentary. He is a
proud graduate of BSU with a degree in Communication.
The 2023 Bear Award was presented to Writer, Director, Producer, and Founder of GR Films, Gabrielle Rosson (Bridgewater State University ’19)
Gabrielle Rosson is a filmmaker who lives, works, and makes art on Cape Cod, MA. After graduating from Bridgewater State University, she cut her teeth in journalism—writing, directing, producing, and news anchoring at Cape Media News before transitioning to narrative filmmaking.
Since 2019, Gabrielle has written, directed, and/or produced more than a dozen award-winning short films; directed three seasons of The Negotiators for the streaming network Reveel; and runs her own film company, GR Films, which assists in a variety of capacities on productions throughout New England.
When she’s not making art, she’s taking in new sights and sounds with her two favorite people—her kids, Juliette and Christian.
