The Bridge Student Film Festival is a film festival at Bridgewater State University run by students enrolled in a Film Festival Production course taught by Dr. Michele Meek. The 4th Bridge Student Film Festival is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, April 29, 2027. See below videos about the class behind the festival from each of the three years of the festival.

What: The Bridge Student Film Festival is a student-run film festival to showcase and uplift creative, original, and diverse short narrative films and documentaries by public high school and college/university students in New England. The festival will include online and in-person screenings, panel discussion, networking events, and an award ceremony.

When: The in-person festival takes place once per academic year. The last festival took place on Dec. 2, 2025. The next festival is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, April 29, 2027. 

Where: In person screenings/events will take place in the Moakley Auditorium at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA. Additional screenings will take place online on our website.

Why: To spotlight diverse films by student filmmakers in New England and foster connections among film students from institutions across the region.

Who: The festival is open to students from all high schools, colleges, and universities in New England. It is run by Dr. Michele Meek’s Film Festival Production course at Bridgewater State University.
